I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the 854 day of the war.

Day 854: Jun 26

Today, there is a lot of news from the Kharkiv direction.

Intense clashes persist in the northern part of Vovchansk, with Ukrainian forces maintaining the initiative through ongoing counterattacks. In response, Russian forces are employing heavy shelling and air bombardments to counter these efforts.

Firstly, Ukrainian troops have continued to advance from their stronghold in the citadel area, pushing both northward and eastward. Recent footage confirms a significant deployment of Ukrainian FPV drones, with their attacks now reaching the northern outskirts of the city.

Russian forces have launched intense attacks on Ukrainian positions in the citadel area, primarily using thermobaric artillery instead of FABs. This choice is due to the proximity of Russian and Ukrainian positions in the city center and the risk of friendly fire associated with the less accurate FAB glide bombs. The unique layout of the high-rise buildings in the citadel provides a defensive advantage, with some buildings acting as shields for others, offering exceptional protection to specific structures.

But the most significant recent Ukrainian advancements occurred in the eastern part of Vovchansk.

Geolocated images from the “Liut” Assault Brigade reveal clearing operations in the Stepova Street area, leading to the countryside east of Vovchansk. The intense pressure exerted by Ukrainian troops, coupled with the complete destruction of buildings and structures, rendered it untenable for Russian forces to maintain their positions. Consequently, they were forced to retreat to trenches and fortifications in the fields at the end of Stepova Street. The footage shows Ukrainian soldiers advancing, clearing, and securing houses, sheds, and cellars. The intensive use of assault rifles and grenades indicates the continued presence of some Russian troops. The advance was coordinated by a commander using a reconnaissance drone for observation. At one point, Ukrainian soldiers were alerted to two Russian soldiers seeking shelter in a nearby house. The Ukrainians took cover and immediately deployed two FPV drones, neutralizing the Russian soldiers.

Additionally, soldiers from the 36th Marine Brigade executed remarkable counterattack operations in the area. Recent geolocated images show an assault on the outskirts of Vovchansk, in the fields just beyond Stepova Street. Following the successful operation by the “Liut” Brigade, which secured Stepova and adjacent streets, Ukrainian forces could safely operate in the fields without the threat of a Russian attack from the urban area.

The assault began with a drone-launched grenade attack, catching the Russian soldiers completely off guard and forcing them to seek cover. Simultaneously, Ukrainian marines rapidly advanced toward the fortifications and launched their assault. They systematically cleared the dugouts using grenades and assault rifle fire, all coordinated by a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone. Complete uncensored footage of the operation can be found on our Telegram channel via the link in the description.

The goal of the Ukrainian forces in this area is to advance northeast and link up with Ukrainian troops progressing from the Tykhe area to push out the Russian forces dominating the hill. A topographic map reveals two contiguous elevated areas between the eastern part of Vovchansk and the Tykhe settlement. Securing these elevated positions is essential for any Ukrainian operation in the region. Without control of these heights, Russian forces would have a significant advantage, able to undermine any Ukrainian movement.

Once these positions are secured, Ukrainian forces could expand north and east, potentially encircling the inner city of Vovchansk and trapping the Russian forces in a pocket. Crucially, it is much easier for Ukrainian troops to build up and maneuver forces, including mechanized units, from the area south of Tykhe. This route is preferable to moving through the urban center of Vovchansk, where there is a higher concentration of Russian forces and greater challenges in crossing the Vovcha River, especially for armored vehicles.

As if that weren’t enough, the 36th Marine Brigade followed their assault operation with a nighttime grenade drop…

First-person video shows a gun battle on the outskirts of the city. The Ukrainians spot a Russian position dug into a tree-line and attack. They use rifles to pin the Russians down, then toss grenades. But the Russians fire back, and bullets are heard snapping overhead. The cameraman relocates behind the wreck of a burned-out tank. And can be heard radioing for support as the video ends. More drone footage from the same brigade captures a Bradley attack. The IFV can be seen blasting houses where Russian troops are hiding. A third piece of footage from the same town shows the battlefield. Taken by a Russian soldier, it shows a road littered with destroyed vehicles that are the result of weeks of hard fighting. Ocheretyne is located to the west of Avdiivka, which fell earlier this year. It contains an important road and railway junction. Russia is trying to take it and push further into Donetsk oblast. While the Ukrainians are trying to stop them in their tracks.

I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the 846 day of the war.

Day 846: Jun 18

Today, there are a lot of developments in the Kharkiv direction.

The most interesting news comes from the Lyptsi area.

Here, Russians attempted to concentrate their forces for a renewed wave of assaults and to regain the initiative. Ukrainians countered this by destroying the Russian units with air power and drive-by raids before they had the chance to launch their assaults.

The main Russian goal in this direction continues to be establishing control over the town of Lyptsi and creating a buffer zone to push Ukrainian artillery away from the international border. Previously, Ukrainians were able to demoralize Russian units with drone strikes to the point that Russian soldiers abandoned their positions as soon as Ukrainians launched counterattacks. In desperation, Russian commanders saturated the area with reserves, which halted the Ukrainian momentum, but only in the short term.

The Institute for the Study of War reported that Russian forces were gathering near Hlyboke. Such a concentration of forces can only mean that Russians were preparing for a new wave of attacks toward Lyptsi.

The reason Russians decided to use Hlyboke as the launching area for their renewed attacks is quite complex. Russians are unable to transfer a large number of armored vehicles into the area, as Ukrainian drone operators are operating well behind the Russian border. Geolocated footage confirms this, as any time Russians attempt to probe Ukrainian defenses with a tank, it quickly gets detected and destroyed by Ukrainian drone operators as soon as it comes close to or crosses the border.

This causes Russian forces in the direction of Lyptsi to suffer from a severe lack of armored support. Additionally, the terrain between Lukiantsi and Neskuchne is characterized by a series of small forests separated by large open fields. Attempting to cross these fields with assault groups made up of pure infantry would be suicide, as Ukrainians have a large window of opportunity to spot and destroy the enemy.

This leaves only one possible axis of advance for large infantry assaults in this region. The distance between Hlyboke and the northern dachas of Lyptsi is relatively short, which limits the exposure of Russian soldiers to Ukrainian fire while they move to their target. Ukrainians had initially pushed the Russians out of these dachas, but the new Russian force’s concentration here indicates that Russians planned to attack and regain the foothold.

Ukrainians understood the threat that this growing Russian force posed to Ukrainian defenders in the dachas and immediately sprang into action. Firstly, Ukrainian drone operators spotted Russian infantry moving into one of the buildings in Hlyboke before targeting it with an FPV drone. It turns out that Russians had also gathered ammunition here, as it quickly caught fire and burned down the building.

As you may remember from a previous report, Ukrainians had also targeted numerous Russian air defense systems inside of Russian territory. As this significantly weakened the Russian air defense network, Ukrainians were also able to conduct air strikes on the Russian force’s concentrations in Hlyboke. Geolocated footage shows how Ukrainians targeted other buildings that Russians had moved into with a series of JDAM air strikes. Ukrainian drone operators then continued to monitor the settlement and called in air strikes on Russian positions, leveling any Russian building to the ground.

Ukrainians also complimented the JDAM strikes, which are launched from fixed-wing aircraft, with helicopter close air support, to rain down further destruction on Russian forces in the settlement. Geolocated footage shows two Ukrainian Mi-24P ‘Hind’ heavy attack helicopters returning from such a fire mission on Hlyboke.

To emphasize to the Russian soldiers gathering in Hlyboke that Ukrainians would not allow them to collect sufficient forces from launching new attacks, Ukrainians launched a drive-by raid on the settlement with a Ukrainian-made BTR-4E Infantry Fighting vehicle, nicknamed ‘Bustafel.’ Bustafel first drove up to the settlement, firing its secondary gun to suppress Russian infantry hiding in the buildings. After it drove into position, it fired into the settlement with…

I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the 832 day of the war.

Day 832: Jun 04

Today, there is a lot of news from the Kurakhove direction.

Here, the Ukrainians successfully stopped the second wave of Russian attacks against the next village after Novomykhailivka, after not giving the enemy enough time to rest and regroup. The Russians quickly got stuck in front of the tiniest village of the long settlement chain along the river – Paraskoviivka. It presented a formidable obstacle for them, not because of the strength and size of fortifications in it but due to all the new tactics the Ukrainians deployed. This settlement is crucial for the Russians if they want to reach their operational goal of taking Kostiantynivka and open access to Vuhledar from the north. Knowing how significant this was for the Russians, the Ukrainians decided once again to strike first and not to let them gather large forces for the next wave of attacks. For this, the Ukrainian commanders developed a battle plan with several key steps.

The first step was to effectively cut off Russian forces from their artillery support by taking counterbattery measures. For this purpose, Ukrainians monitored the Russian rear east of Novomykhailivka, looking for enemy artillery assets. Ukrainian drone operators from the Shadow detachment located several D-30 howitzers southeast of this village and targeted them with FPV drones. The artillery systems were successfully destroyed even though they were concealed in the three lines with the help of additional camouflage nets to mask their presence. Drone operators from the Adam detachment were responsible for the hunt northeast of the village. Over a short interval of time, they were able to destroy not only multiple D-30 howitzers but also several self-propelled artillery systems, a couple in their hide-outs, and several more on the move. If you want to get access to the original uncensored combat footage of these operations, you can find it on our Telegram channel by using the link in the description.

The skillful drone pilots put additional pressure on that area by also targeting munition hideouts and delivery vehicles to undermine Russian artillery missions. These attacks marked the beginning of the second step of the Ukrainian plan to undermine the Russian effort by not allowing them to deliver fresh forces or munitions to frontline positions. Ukrainians used the relatively flat and clear terrain around Novomykhailivka to their advantage by hunting enemy delivery vehicles with FPV drones. If we look at the geolocated footage, we can see more than 10 such vehicles destroyed over a short period of time, ranging from big Kamaz cargo trucks to smaller UAZ vans.

After these successful initial steps to limit Russian artillery and delivery operations in the region, the Ukrainians moved to the third phase in their deadly plan – to conduct a series of vicious raids on Russian forces accumulation points – both on the frontline and in the rear. Drone operators from the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade published more than a dozen geolocated video clips showing how they engage Russian soldiers in trenches, hideouts, and safe houses. One of the videos highlights one Russian tactic that can be seen more and more often in the last weeks, namely the use of motorcycles to quickly deploy forces to the contact line and to conduct assaults. Previously, they used from 1 to 2 such vehicles, but in these most recent images, we can see an update of this dubious tactic with 5 or more working in a group, trying to use the speed of the motorbikes to their advantage. Due to the graphic nature of the results, we cannot show the original uncensored video of this operation here, but it can be found on our Telegram channel.

The devastating outcome of the Ukrainian actions forced the Russian commanders to make a desperate attempt to launch another wave of attacks against Ukrainian positions around Paraskoviivka with everything they still had available. The size of these Russian assault groups in these geolocated images from Paraskoviivka’s vicinity showcases exactly how effective the Ukrainian approach was. Previously, they usually consisted of several tanks, armored personnel carriers, and infantry groups of up to 20…

I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the eight-hundred-twentieth day of the war.

Day 820: May 23

Today, there are a lot of developments in the Avdiivka direction.

Here, Ukrainians have halted the Russian breakthrough and commenced counterattacks to regain lost positions.

The main Russian objective to the west of Avdiivka is to take control over the Ukrainian city and headquarters of Pokrovsk. Ukrainians have established numerous defensive lines to defend the city. As Russians had taken huge losses in attacking the Ukrainian lines head-on, they attempted to utilize their breakthrough near Ocheretyne to outflank the Ukrainian defenses and collapse the frontline.

Over the past month, Russian forces have leveraged their breakthrough near Ocheretyne to take control over as many settlements as possible. Ukrainians, initially still suffering from a significant shortage of artillery shells, utilized intense drone strikes to halt the Russian momentum. At the same time, the Russian offensive effort near Chasiv-Yar and Kharkiv limited the Russian ability to reinforce their losses in the salient adequately. With insufficient reinforcements and a high rate of losses, the Russian offensive is quickly stalling.

Despite their quickly draining combat capabilities, Russians continued to attempt localized attacks to improve their tactical situation and consolidate their gains. In particular, Russians tried to increase their buffer zone south-west of Ocheretyne by attacking toward the settlements of Sokil and Novopokrovske. Towards Novopokrovske, Russian infantry assault groups advanced through the tree lines with the support of numerous tanks.

Drone operators from the 47th mechanized brigade released geolocated footage of a Russian assault consisting of 2 armored personnel carriers and a T-90M tank. Interestingly, the Russian tank was not leading the assault group and was instead held back for support. The first armored personnel carrier then promptly drove over an anti-tank mine and was destroyed on impact. Russian infantry on the second armored transport then quickly dismounted and attempted to take cover while Ukrainian artillery opened fire on their positions.

The Russian assault quickly devolved into chaos as the supporting tank turned around to escape from the Ukrainian artillery barrage. During its retreat, the tank was hit by an FPV drone, disabling it as the crew fled to safety. Footage from a second observation drone shows how another Russian tank was sent into the settlement to support the Russian infantry. This tank was hit by an FPV drone as well but managed to make it out of the settlement, where it was later abandoned. Astonishingly, Russians sent a third tank into the village, which also quickly turned around as soon as Ukrainian artillery shells started exploding near it. Ukrainian drone operators later shared footage of how they finished off both disabled Russian tanks with FPV kamikaze drones.

The Russian attacks toward Sokil went similarly; Russian assault groups transported by armored personnel carriers attacked the settlement of Sokil. The armored transports drove over mines, whereafter, the infantry dismounted and were engaged by Ukrainian artillery. However, here, Russian assault groups managed to take up positions in the clearing halfway down the road. Another failed Russian assault was also halted halfway, but this time with an FPV kamikaze drone. Ukrainian artillery crews then opened fire on the remaining Russian infantry with cluster munitions. Ukrainians also deployed a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle to finish off the Russian vehicle together with the infantry.

After the attacks, Ukrainians decided to degrade the Russian infantry, not only in their newly established positions but also in the settlements themselves. Geolocated footage shows how Ukrainian drone operators intensely targeted Russian infantry with FPV kamikaze drones during the day and drone-dropped grenades at night. Ukrainians also detected a large group of infantry moving into one of the houses to take shelter there. Ukrainians later detected many more of these shelters and equipped their FPV drones with heavy explosives to effectively collapse and destroy these buildings. Besides destroying all Russian infantry inside, collapsing…
