- Putin’s invasion has blocked Chinese funding in Russia for the Belt and Road Initiative. A project for the joint construction of a transport super plane also suspended. The Chinese limit collaboration with Moscow to the energy market for fear of running afoul of Western sanctions. Currently Moscow and Beijing are focusing on energy supplies. China depends on Russian oil for 15% of its total and gas for 8%. The two sides signed new industry agreements shortly before the start of the invasion of Ukraine
- Nearly 6.2 million refugees from Ukraine have been recorded across Europe as of 26 July, according to United Nations data, with more than half applying for temporary residence schemes. Over 100,000 Ukrainians have come to the UK under two schemes set up to help those fleeing the country following Russia’s invasion
- Baykar company will provide the Ukrainian army with the Bayraktar TB2 drone for free, the fundraising for the purchase of which was held in Poland. “Since we have collected a surplus, that is, approximately 1.8 million zloty (and the proceeds from the auction), we will transfer them to the fund of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” journalist Sławomir Sierakowski said

- The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to push forward in Kherson Oblast – over the past two weeks, 3 villages have been liberated. “Our military units and subunits continue the gradual liberation of Kherson Oblast from the occupation forces of the Russian Federation. Ivanivka and Lozove have been liberated over the past two weeks, and Andriivka was liberated this week.”
- More than three-quarters of Polish adults have been involved in supporting Ukrainian refugees since the start of the Russian invasion on Feb. 24, according to data provided by the Polish Economic Institute. A report from the organization showed that 77 percent of adult Poles had spent between €1.9-€2 billion on providing assistance for neighboring Ukrainians
- German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck approved Ukraine’s request for the Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzers. German arms manufacturer Krauss-Maffei Wegmann has already begun manufacturing the howitzers, which have a range of 30-60 kilometers
