Making an animation of a point cloud is an important part of the visualisation of the BIM project.
This is why we have made this feature in-built for GLidar, our handheld laser scanner with real-time data processing and high-performance OUSTER lidar on board.
It is implemented through Potree viewer, an open source viewer of point clouds, which is a part of our web application for scanning. The workflow is very straightforward: you just need to make a quick scan, collect date in real time, and then create an animation of the point cloud in the the viewer.
Simple, powerful and fast – both the feature explained, and the GLidar itself.
